safety

In order to ensure that our passengers can board safely and with peace of mind, our company operates in accordance with the following regulations and policies.

1.Safety Policy

Safety is the most fundamental responsibility of public transportation and forms the basis of the trust placed in us by our passengers. Based on this shared understanding, we establish the following safety policy:

  • Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including the Maritime Transportation Act, as well as internal company rules.
  • Operation with safety as the highest priority.
  • Continuous efforts to ensure the safety of passenger transportation.

2.Priority Safety Measures

Based on our safety policy, we aim to instill a “safety-first” mindset throughout the organization. To ensure that all employees consistently and thoroughly implement this principle, we clearly define the responsibility structure and operational standards necessary for the safe, appropriate, and smooth handling of operations related to our passenger vessels (hereinafter referred to as “vessels”), including associated duties. Through these efforts, all employees work together as one to ensure transportation safety.

For Fiscal Year 2025, the following items are designated as priority safety measures:

  • Conducting the education and training necessary to maintain and improve the safety management system, and providing all vessel and shore-based employees with the education and training required to establish and maintain this system, thereby enhancing their capabilities for safe transportation.
  • Making every effort to collect meteorological and sea condition information, and not hesitating to suspend operations when forecast information indicates that suspension criteria have been met or are expected to be met. In the event of encountering severe weather during navigation, promptly adjusting course and speed to ensure the safety of passengers and navigation.
  • Paying close attention to guiding passengers safely. This includes carefully guiding passengers from waiting areas to boarding points, and from disembarkation points to safe areas. Necessary verbal guidance to passengers should be provided without hesitation.
